T H E O R D I N A R Y : Skincare

Me and my sister have pretty much tried all of the Ordinary’s skin care range. Most I’d recommend, but let’s talk about Azelic Acid.

I usually stay away from things which aren’t natural or have the word acid in the title! Doesn’t sound like something that will help my skin. However, this is by far the best cream I have used in a long time which has actually helped tighten my pores and improve the overall texture of my skin. I didn’t really notice a huge difference until I ran out and didn’t reorder. It’s really affordable, but I’d suggest ordering two bottles as I got through mine pretty quickly. I was keen and over used it!

Now, for taking care of your skin. This product comes with a warning, it does increase the sensitivity of your skin to the sun. Therefore I’d recommend you only use it at night, or if you wear a sun cream (factor 15 or over) during the day you’ll be fine. I used this morning and night as my foundation has SPF30 so I was confident I wasn’t going to acquire extra wrinkles throughout the day from sun damage!
They’re also animal friendly, so no animal testing!!!

Let me know if you try this and what you think! And if you have any pores reducing products you love, please let me know!!

B L O A T I N G : Best tips for de-bloating

This has been a popular topic with my friends recently. So many women get bloated and just self-diagnose with IBS or stress or just lack of fibre.
Feeling bloated is usually poor digestion, so you naturally think ‘I’ll eat more fibre’ but

H E A L T H : Lack of Energy? Read this!

For quite a while I’ve been tired. I always put this down to lack of sleep because I tend to eat fairly well and I exercise so couldn’t really see another reason why I would be tired. That was until I was tested for Celiac disease.

C H A R C O A L : Tooth Whitening Powder

I like to try and keep my teeth as white as possible without weakening the enamel with bleaching products. I’ve tried Coconut oil, which is proven to ‘pull’ away dirt and

A C N E : My Favourite Treatment (It's not a cream)

Having scars on your face is the worst thing. It’s okay saying you can cover them up with make up, but it doesn’t make you feel any better about them. You still see them red and flared up when you get out of the shower or a hot bath. Then summer comes around and you can't wear minimal make up like everyone else because you have acne you need to keep covered! Spot creams just aren’t instant and I needed and still do need something that visibly reduces my skin problems in a few hours.

I like to have my eyebrows filled in, but I'm not very good at it. I don't want to spend a small fortune on all of these eye brow gels, pencils & combs!

B A S E B E A U T Y : The most hygienic beauty blender yet!

I've always loved a good beauty blender! Even though I wash mine all the time, it's not that hygienic especially when I've had a break out.
You also save a ton of foundation! Don't be naive and use the same amount as you would usually. I literally saved half! Not bad when you're paying £30 a bottle for foundation. This is saving me a fortune!

B E A U T Y B L E N D E R S : Everyone tells you these are amazing, butno one tells you the secret.

Let me guess, you bought a beauty blender and you're using it like a regular sponge and wondering what on earth everyone is banging on about and wondering how you got conned into paying £10 for a sponge?
If it makes you feel any better, you're just doing it all wrong!

M A R C J A C O B S : Because Smells Are Important

I always pick a 'signature scent' usually lasts me 18 months. Last year I was all for Burberrys Brit in Sheer. This year, I've chosen something a little more subtle. Decadence by Marc Jacobs smells a little powdery but spicy, perfect if you don't like floral scents, like me. It's not over powering either, just a light scent that isn't going to knock your friends socks off when you arrive. Not to mention the snazzy bottle and velvet box- don't know how I'm going to part with this when it runs out

S K I N : Caring for my skin with Purelogicol

This gel based toner is incredible. I have very oily skin, always have had, but I also get dry patches from time to time. I've been using Purelogicol for around 2 weeks now and I've noticed a difference on my cheeks!

T H E U L T I M A T E F O U N D A T I O N : Double Wear by Estee'Lauder'

I'm sure you have heard by now that this foundation is incredible. I'm not great with make up, I've only just learnt how to do my mascara without sneezing. I always read blogs talking about how great a certain foundation is, amazing coverage etc ... I go out and buy it and my scars and spots are still showing through, regardless of how I apply it. Wasted time and money.

W I N T E R T R E A T S : Molten Hot Chocolate

End of October is the end of autumn, beginning of winter... aka, all you can eat season. Hot chocolate is my favourite. Actually, anything chocolate is my favourite!  I've been craving a thick molten hot chocolate ever since I had one in Italy, they know how to do hot chocolate!

C O C O N U T O I L : Help your hair grow!

I've recently had my hair highlighted and I've noticed the damage its done to my hair. It feels so dry and looks dull from all the toner. I needed to do something before it became even more brittle and snapped off. I've spend so long growing my hair, the last thing I want is for it to crumble off because I stopped taking care of it.

S K I N C A R E: is it time you stopped washing your face too?

If you're like me, you have a wide variety of face washes to cater to all of the skin problems that you believe you have, even if no one else has noticed. Oily skin, dry skin, big pores, spots, wrinkles, organic stuff, acid stuff ... I have a lot of face wash. I used it to wash off my make up, then I'd tone and moisturise afterwards. My skin has been improving massively because I've learned a lot about it and I know how to control it, but I don't think I'll be happy until I have china doll skin (unlikely)

H A I R D E T O X : Why you need to detox your hair

I have been dying to try this excellent colour hair detox since it dropped on the door step a few weeks back, but I just haven't had chance until now.
My hair hadn't been washed for two days and it had been squashed in a Dutch braid all day. It was ready for a refresh.

M U D D Y B O D Y : Clay face mask review

This face mask is the best clay mask ever! You mix it yourself so you can decide on the thickness. I mixed it a little too thick the first time I used it and my face went so tight while it was drying, I'd recommend adding a little extra water- be careful you don't want to waste it.

H A I R G R O W I N G T I P S: The hair rules I stick to

Once upon a time (3 1/2 - 4 years ago) I had my hair cut, right up to my collar bone. I actually cried. I hated it. First thing I did was invest in a brand new set of hair extensions so I could hide the trauma. Seems I did this successfully, because no one remembers my short hair phase. Unfortunately I do have the photos to prove it.
From then I refused to have my hair cut and I was adamant to get it longer. Sooner the better. I tried all kinds of things from horse shampoo - for actual horses, to hair, skin and nail supplements. Obviously it didn't make much difference, so I took a slightly different approach. Ive written a list of all the things that I do now without even thinking about. You can put the most expensive, highest rated product on your hair but if you aren't REALLY looking after it then I'm sorry to say you're wasting your sweet, sweet time.

F R A N K B O D Y : It's just the best.

I discovered Frank coffee scrub a while ago, I ordered myself and my sister a bag each. I had the original and I got her the Coconut because she has sensitive skin. Best thing I have ever found on Instagram, hands down. - Go Follow them if you don't already @frank_body.

H A I R : The Product You Need This Winter

A few days ago I discovered a Hair Care brand while browsing Instagram. I love finding new brands and trying them out so I did no more and ordered myself some hair Keratin - I know, sounds like a drug, its not. It's an intense conditioner for your hair! 100% Protein is used in this bag of goodness, exactly what damaged winter hair needs.
Its great to give your hair a repair day at least once a week and this treatment is definitely a good choice.
